It’s taken me a lifetime of playing music to be able hear my own notes. I’ve been a rocker, an alt-indie hipster, a pop queen, a studio cat, a country sweetheart, an Americana devotee, and a folk-rock champion. As a performer, I currently live somewhere in-between all the personas I have worn at the different stages of my life. The Existential Bell is me trying on a new suit—not worrying about fitting into a mold or a prescript, saying yes to things that challenge me and no to the things that I suspect will end up with me in a room wishing I was somewhere else.

I’ve been penning songs for this project for several years. I’ve thrown some away, penned some more, threw them away too, put it all on the back burner, confronted my self-doubt, wrote a bit more, and I am finally turning the corner on burning these compositions onto the proverbial tape.

It will be an exciting journey for me in letting down my musical hair to be whatever speaks to me at the moment. I would be ever grateful for your company along the way.
